Stamping tooling is an essential process equipment for stamping production, and it is a technology intensive product. The quality, production efficiency and production cost of stamping parts are directly related to tooling design and fabrication. The level of tooling design and fabrication technology is one of the important symbols to measure the level of an enterprise's product manufacturing, it is largely determining the quality, benefit and development ability of new products.

Stamping tooling design and fabrication technology is a highly technical and empirical work, in which stamping process design, tooling design and tooling fabrication  are interrelated and influence each other.

4.Grinding and polishing technology (high precision, high surface quality, low surface roughness)

5.Numerical control measurement (product with complex structure, and the three coordinate numerical control data makes the product more accurate)

New tooling material heat treatment and surface treatment

1.The commonly used materials of die working parts including: carbon tool steel, low alloy tool steel, high carbon and high chromium or medium chromium tool steel, medium carbon alloy steel, high speed steel, matrix steel, cemented carbide, steel bonded cemented carbide, etc.

2.In order to improve the wear resistance, hardness and corrosion resistance of tooling working surface, new heat treatment and surface treatment technology, especially surface treatment technology, must be adopted. In addition to the familiar surface hardening methods such as hard chromium plating and nitriding , chemical vapor deposition (CVD), physical vapor deposition (PVD) and salt bath metallizing (TD) can effectively improve the service life of the tooling and reduce the consumption of expensive materials.
